Último andar de um predio de apartamentos, e não um elevador entre nossa unidade e andar baixo. Então, não foi uma unidade accesível. Precisamos carregar Áine e carrinho dela subindo as escadas estreitas e sinuosas. No futuro, vamos ficar outro lugar. // Top floor of an apartment building, and there was not an elevator between our unit and the floor below. Therefore, it was not accessible. We had to carry Áine and her stroller up the winding and narrow staircase. In the future, we'll stay somewhere else.

Por Pão de Açucar, acho que você vai quer pular a fila para o teleférico. Você pode fazer isso pelo comprando um bilheto mais alta, ou trazendo um bebê (ou sendo mais velho, grávida, etc.). Qualquer coisa que faça você parte da classe 'preferencial' e você pode pular a fila :) // For Sugarloaf Mountain, I think you will want to skip the lines for the cable car. You can do this by buying a more expensive ticket, or bringing a baby (our by being old, pregnant, etc.). Anything that makes you part of the preferential class and you can skip the line :)
Observe - Pão de Açucar pode estar muito cheio, mas está muito bonito antes do pôr do sol. Vimos macaco sagui ali. Também, os teleféricos foram muito cheio. Não recomendo por qualquer pessoa que seja claustrofóbica. // Note - Sugarloaf an be very busy, but it is quite beautiful before sunset. We saw a marmoset monkey there. Also, the cable cars were very full. I don't recommend it for anyone who is claustrophobic.
As vistas de cidade e de Cristo Redentor valeu a pena -- talvez Pão está 'armadilha turística,' mas eu voltaria. Você pode caminhar ao primeira monte e pegar o teleférico para o topo. Ou, se você esta mais aventureiro, você pode escalar para o topo. Por isso, você vai precisa equipamento de escalada e muito couragem! Acho que para a próxima vez, eu vou caminhar o primeira parte. Talvez eu tentaria escalar ao topo. // The view of the city and Christ the Redeemer were worth it -- maybe Sugarloaf is a 'tourist trip,' but I would do it again. You can hike to the first mountain and take the cable car from there to the top. Or, if you are the most adventurous, you can rock climb to the top. For this, you will need rock climbing gear and a lot of courage. I think for next time, I will walk the first part. Maybe I'd try to climb to the top.
Observe - a primeira monte (chama Morro de Urca) tem boas vistas, e cada monte tem restaurantes, banheiros, lojas. A configuração parece 'Disney' e está funcionado bem. // Note - the first mountain (called Morro de Urca) has good views, and each has restaurants, bathrooms, and stores. The set up is like Disney and it works well.
Por Cristo Redentor, pegamos o bonde e geralmente, o site é menos controlado que o Pão. Não está uma opção para pular a fila, e quando a gente chegou em cima, foi loco. Muito cheio, caos total. Todos pessoas estavam tentando tirar a fotográfia perfeita, mas não foi espaço. A gente foi ombro a ombro com todos. Verdade - eu até vi um homem no chão tentando tirar uma fotografia! Definitivamente NÃO recomendo para qualquer pessoa que seja claustrofóbica. // For Christ the Redeemer, we took the tram and in general, the site was less controlled than Sugarloaf. There was not an option to skip the line, and when we got to the top, it was crazy. Very busy, total chaos. Everyone was trying to get the perfect photo, but there was not space. We were shoulder to shoulder with everyone. Truthfully - I even saw a guy on the floor trying to take a photo. Definitely do NOT recommend for anyone with claustrophobia.
Embora temos primeiros ingressos, ainda havia uma fila longa para bondinho. Ainda mais, muitas pessoas foram em cima diante de nós. A próxima vez, vamos caminhar até o topo, e talvez escolhar um tempo do dia diferente. // Although we had the earliest possible tickets, there was still a long line for the tram. Even still, there were so many people at the top before us. Next time, we'll walk to the top, and maybe select a different time of day.
Você sabe que o Cristo Redentor está um dos sete maravilhas do mundo? É que legal, mas não sei se acreditamos pertence com outras maravilhas. É trinta e oito metres alto (124 pés) com braćos que se estendem vinte e oito metres (92 pés). // Did you know that Christ the Redeemer is one of the seven wonders of the world? It's cool, but I don't know if we believe it belongs with the other wonders. It is thirty eight meters tall (124 feet), with arms that span twenty eight meters (92 feet).
Por Jardim Botânico, vá a qualquer hora - é muito linda, e tem incrível plantas, árvores, e animais. Adorei nossa vez a lá. Embora, foi muito calor, o cenário foi apenas bonito. Tão exuberante e verde, eu poderia passar um dia lá. Também, tiveram macacos sagui e capuchin, eles são muito fofos! As Vitórias Régias plantas são tão maravilhosas - elas são enormes com bordas altas e estriadas. // For the Botanical garden, go whenever - it is very pretty and has incredible plants, trees, and animals. I loved our time there. Although, it was very hot, the scenery was just beautiful. So lush and green, I would spend all day there. Also, they had marmoset and capuchin monkeys, they are so cute! The Royal Victories plants (Lily pads) are so marvelous - they are huge with high, ridged borders.
Também aqui são árvores palmeiras imperiais - até quarenta metros (130 pés) alto. Definitivamente uma sensação real caminhando entre essas árvores! Fundada em 1808 pelo rei D. João VI de Portugal, o jardim foi originalmente para a introdução e pesquisa de plantas novas. // Also here are imperial palm trees - up to forty meters (130 feet) tall. Definitely a royal feeling walking between these trees! Founded in 1808 by King John VI of Portugal, the garden was originally for the introduction and research of new plants.
Outra dica - usar protetor do sol!! Não é muito sombra. // Another tip - use sunscreen!! There is not a lot of shade.
Por Museu de Arte Rio, acho que voltamos quando o Museu de Belas Artes é abre de novo... porque o Museu de Arte Rio foi mais o menos bem, mas desejamos tinha mais. A coleção foi menor que o esperado. // For the Rio Museum of Art, I think we need to come back when the Museum of Fine Arts is open again... because the Rio Museum of art was okay, but we wish it had more. The collection was smaller than expected.
Por the Porto de Rio de Janeiro (Baía de Guanabara), achamos foi mais o menos bem, mas acho que não bom bastante ser um do sete maravilhosas de mundo natural. Nós brincamos com isso quem fez a lista de maravilhosas deve adora Brasil. // For the Port of Rio (Guanabara Bay), we found it was fine, but I don't think it's good enough to be one of the seven wonders of the natural world. We joke that whoever made the list of wonders must love Brazil.
Quando pesquisei por que isso é uma maravilhosa, é porque inclui a paisagem com Pão de Açucar e montanhas circundantes. // When I looked up why this was a wonder, it's because it includes the landscape with Sugarloaf and surrounding mountains.
Por Praias do Leblon e Ipanema, acho que você pode ficar aqui o dia todo todos os dias - elas são lindas e gigantes. São inúmeros fornecedores e restaurantes ao longo da praia. Mas, as ondas foram enormes e perigosas. Minha amiga foi em a água e quase ficou preso em uma corrente de onda. Tem cuidado! // For the Leblon and Ipanema beaches, I think you could spend all day, everyday there - they're pretty and huge. There are countless vendors and restaurants along the beach. But, the waves are large and dangerous. My friend went into the water and was nearly stuck in a wave current. Take caution!
Então, Áine não gosta de praia... ainda. As ondas eram barulhentos e acho que ela sentiu perigo. Também, as ondas eram mais frio que sua piscina sem ondas. Mais tarde, quando Áine é mais velho, acho que ela vai adorar a praia. // Therefore, Áine did not like the beach... yet. The waves were loud and I think she sensed danger. Also, the waves were colder than her wave-less pool. Later, when Áine is older, I think she will love the beach.
Uma coisa vimos na praia foi vôlei de pé - muito comum e parece todos pessoas sabem jogar. Parece voleibol mas sem braços e mãos, apenas joelhos, pés, peitos, e cabeças. // One thing we saw on the beach was foot volley - very common and it seemed like everyone knows how to play. It's like volleyball but without arms and hands, only knees, feet, chests, and heads.
Por Lagoa de Rio de Janeiro, nós pensamos que foi bom e tranquilo. Embora nós fomos para Lagoa à noite, e vimos algumas pessoas se exercitando (correndo ou caminhando), mas acho que durante o dia haveria mais pessoas e atividade. A gente viu alguns pássaros e aproveitou passeando ao longo da Lagoa. // For the Rio de Janeiro Lagoon, we thought it was pretty and peaceful. Although we went to the Lagoon at night, we saw some people exercising (running or walking), but I think during the day there would be more people and activity. We saw some birds and enjoyed walking along the Lagoon.
É isso - acho que você aprendeu alguma coisa de Rio e você pode aproveitar uma viagem a la alguma dia! // That's it - I hope you learned something about Rio and you can enjoy a trip there some day!
